EMIGRATION. URINARY TRACT INFECTION. WHERE IS MY PATCH?

Publicated:

I deliberately didn’t write “home.” The word territory/my patch better reflects the human need for one’s own place on Earth.

Territory. In this place, I am fully here. I move around, I live my matters, my life. Relationships, work, the place where I live, children, friends, passions, dreams.
Where do I choose to spin?

A male wolf patrols his territory regularly—he cares for it, checks it, marks it with urine, circles around his territory. He defines its boundaries regularly.
My territory may be in the country of my ancestors, but it doesn’t have to be.
Where do I choose to spin?

I have met many emigrants—thousands. My 13 years outside Poland gave me that opportunity. Today, some of my clients are emigrants.
Sometimes their life is physically and mentally “there,” but in their heart and soul they are still in Poland. There has been no farewell in the heart, no grieving of illusions, no letting go of expectations.

How can you recognize this? For example, by anger toward their country of origin, contempt for people here, worrying about politics in Poland, going on vacation only to Poland, frequent calls to Poland, leaving and returning repeatedly.
In their soul, they are angry at their ancestors—most often at their parents.

They come back to the country for visits, they fight, they feel out of place, they leave again after conflicts with family. When they depart, there is bitterness in their hearts, relief in their heads, and longing in their bodies.

Where is my territory?
Feeling your territory is important. That is why we urinate many times a day. It is biological material for regularly marking the territory. Because a territory is cared for and its boundaries are set regularly. That is why it is so important to determine within yourself “where it is for me.”

PSYCHOBIOLOGY AND GERMAN NEW MEDICINE CORNER:
In territorial conflicts, various organs may react, such as the larynx, bronchi, stomach, coronary vessels, but also the urinary tract. It depends on the feeling. In the urinary tract, the specific theme that resonates is “the impossibility of setting the boundaries of one’s territory.” The urethra, ureters, bladder, kidneys.

I am in a place, but not completely.
Someone is entering my territory.
Who am I here, really?
Can I even be fully and safely here?
Would I be able, right here, to stand and fight to protect my territory?

Where is your territory? Do you experience recurring urinary tract infections? What remains un-farewelled in your heart?
I invite you to a session.
